Hope After The Storm

As we stand in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, our hearts are heavy with the weight of loss. Yet, we are also reminded of God's enduring presence in the storm. Like so many trials, this hurricane challenges our faith, but it is in these moments that we must turn to the One who never abandons us. Scripture tells us, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1). Even in the fiercest storm, God's hand is upon us, and His love is unwavering.

Charles Wesley, in his hymn, "Jesus, Lover of My Soul," beautifully captures our cry in times like these:

"Other refuge have I none,

Hangs my helpless soul on Thee;

Leave, ah! leave me not alone,

Still support and comfort me."

We often feel most vulnerable in the storms of life, yet we are not alone. John Wesley once declared, "The best of all is, God is with us." These words should echo in our hearts as we rebuild, heal, and support one another in Christian love.

This is not the end of the story. God works through our hands and hearts as we rebuild not just homes but hope. Let us cling to our faith, trusting that even out of devastation, God will bring forth new life. Together, as a community, we will rise, sustained by grace and anchored in the unshakable love of Christ.

Let us move forward with faith, knowing that God is with us, now and always. God's enduring presence is our comfort, reassurance, and strength.

Grace and Peace,

Kaury
